10. Get Some Sleep
We already know that lack of sleep has significant effects on the body. Increasing hunger hormones is one of them – specifically ghrelin as well as insulin resistance.
According to a study published in the Sleep Medical Clinics in 2007, the cravings may also depend on how much sleep you have. Try to sleep 7 – 8 hours every night to make sure you don’t get cravings the next day.
So when you feel hungry in the middle of the day, get some sleep to control your cravings. You’ll still eat when you wake up, but you’ll consume less food. Experts also suggest that you can go to bed one hour after the dinner to prevent snacks at night.
