Luxury brands aren’t necessarily better than drugstore brands,” she says. Rachel cites her allergy to lanolin, a common beauty product ingredient, as the initial reason she was drawn to more expensive cosmetics. “To me, their limited nature makes them, in addition to their price, ingredients, and company, a luxury brand.”
